Free Design for June 2010
It’s that time of month again where we will be offering 1 non profit organisation the opportunity to market themselves for free with our free design for the month. Last month no-one took us up on the offer, however, we were expecting this, as the site is very new and was only launched mid May.
The design service on offer is:
- Poster Design (A4 or A3)
- Letterhead or Compliment Slip
- Business Card
- A5 Flyer (single or double sided)
- 3 fold leaflet (double sided)
To take advantage of this offer you must be a non profit project and fall into one of the following categories:
- Constituted Voluntary Group
- Informal Voluntary Group (no constitution or board of directors)
- Registered Charity
- Registered Social Enterprise
- Community Interest Company (CIC)

Free Design for May 2010
Are you a non profit project? You can qualify for a free design if you are a Social Enterprise, Charity, Community Interest Company, Constituted Voluntary Group, Non-Constituted Voluntary Group, or Informal Voluntary Group.
We will design a poster for your project, A5 flyer (one sided or double sided), business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, or contact us with your requirements and we will see if you qualify for one of our free designs.
If you are looking for a more time intensive design (brochures, magazines, etc.) we can still save you money by making a trade for the designs you want completed. Please visit How to make an offer, for further details.
Barter Designs will support 1 non profit project per month with a free design, and any designs we complete on your behalf will be showcased on this site with your business profile to further help you market your non profit project.
This offer is only available during the month of May. On the 1st of every month we will make a new offer for free designs.

Newport Refurbishments
We have just completed our first job for Newport Refurbishments (www.newportrefurbishments.co.uk) which is a Park Home Refurbishment company.
Newport Refurbishments first approached us as a paying client, however to kick start this website, we offered to provide the design as a trade for any item they would like to offer. The managing director was very interested in the experiment and readily agreed.
Our brief was to design a magazine advert to appear in a Park Homes glossy magazine (finished sample below)
We worked closely with the Managing Director to deliver the final design after a couple of revisions, which we traded for a second hand Archos 405. The Archos 405 is now being used by the non profit organisation, Concepts (www.concepts.org.uk) to showcase their filming work when they are visiting clients.
